Father's Day

For Father's Day, Brandon tortured himself by running up and down Mt. Si three times. That's 24 miles and 9,450 feet of gain and loss. Sounds like a nice reward for being a great dad, right?! Kye and I went grocery shopping and then had a picnic in the park while daddy had his fun.

Afterwards, we headed to Woodland Park Zoo. We thought Kye might enjoy the zoo, given that he has started to notice dogs when we are out and about, but it was all a bit overstimulating for him. He noticed the kids, the other people, the trees that hung over the path. And I guess he noticed the elephant and some resident crows. Oh well, we had fun anyway.

In honor of Dad's day, a few more pics of the little guy. We love you, papa.

Hiking, Running, Hanging

When Brandon does his training runs, sometimes Kye and I hike along the same trail. Last week, we hiked along Snow Lake trail, and were stunned to find snow from the beginning. Kye loved all the waterfalls.

Last weekend, Brandon ran Rattlesnake Ridge, 22 miles. Kye and I had a picnic first, then headed out for the hike to the ledge. It was literally a highway of people and dogs, so Kye was happy to coo at everyone and admire the trees and views.

Sunday, Kye and I hit the trail with Anne & Dawn and hiked to Lodge Lake. It was a beautiful day, not too hot with a nice breeze.
