Flashback- All My Best Memories...

...from childhood are from the family cabin on Mica Bay, Idaho. To get to the cabin, we had to call grandma from the public payphone on the docks and she would come to get us in the yellow tuna boat. Across the bay and soon the cabin would come into view. We'd excitedly unload our suitcases and run into the cabin, which always smelled like fresh snickerdoodles (seriously, how did grandma time that just right?!). And then time stopped while we ran in the woods with sticks, swam in the clear water, rowed out to 'The Island', and roasted hot dogs over the fire in the evening sun. We were kids playing like kids should play...no tv, no video games, no hovering adults. It was a great way to grow up.
